Hi all,
was just wondering what the points lead up too? My mom use to play some games on the net, only you built up tokens, and if you built up enough tokens, you have a chance at winning something. I was just wondering if the points lead up to winning anything. I'm not a game player, but i noticed you get 10 points every day you check in. For those who might not know, I'm new here, just signed up tuesday night. Thank you for your time,
wonderwoman

I'm fairly new as well. I was wondering the same thing. Do we get freebies if we get so many points? Sorry.

Their is currently no real significance to the points, other than bragging rights. Also, in the profile viewer, the default is to show users ordered by number of points, so the top users are listed first. We're thinking about ideas for the points system and would appreciate any comments.

Hi feeble feob and chris n. Thank you very much for your responses. Well, gaming never interested me, in fact, when i log in, I go straight to the click here link, and then to the boards. I mostly look in the getting to know you forum, and just respond to new users. I don't even bother to check and see how many points I have. I'm interested in the boards, mostly the getting to know you board, but I've already introduced my self once, so can't introduce my self anymore, unless I leave the sight for a year ago and come back. Thanks, wonderwoman

I'm glad that you're enjoying the boards. You might also enjoy chatting (either in the form of quick notes which I'm sure you've discovered or by using one of the two voice chat options). Their are many ways to get to know others. :)

Hi chris n,
well, I didn't like a particular topic that was going on in themass quick notes, and I tried to get in to a conversation twice, and it was like I was invissible, no one answered me, so I turned mass quick notes off, but i still have private notes, but I don't like to just pick someone at random to send a private note too, for one thing, most of them are in the middle of a game, and don't want to be bothered.
As for the voice chat options, I can't use skype, because I don't have nearly enough ram, 256 minimum, and not enough processor speed, 500 megahertz minumum, and I have a 200 megahertz processor. This is a good computer, reliable and steady, but its not strong or powerful, and it is going on 6 and a half years old, but it still has a lot of life in it. I can't use the voice chat server, because its on broad band, and I'm on dial up.Thanks for responding, and its nice meeting you.
